The first session
We will get to know each other in the first session and see what is currently bothering you. This way, I will have a clear understanding of what we can or cannot work on together.
Focus of the sessions
My priority during the therapy sessions is to understand your behaviour and why you act on certain feelings and thoughts. I believe that once we are aware of the why behind our actions, we can eventually make positive changes t. In other words, once we become more aware we cannot become unaware. This will eventually propel us to make the changes that we desire.
The practice I work at endorses a more alternative approach, giving the client more of a leading role in the sessions. In other words, we are a practice which follows a method called ‘client-entered therapy’. This form of therapy emphasizes the relationship between client and therapist. During the therapy process, the priority is having unconditional support for the client. This way, therapy provides a safe space for sharing deep aspects of oneself. Additionally, I make use of various methods in order to tailor treatment to what the client needs.
I enjoy meeting individuals from different cultures considering that I, myself, have a multicultural background – I grew up in different countries: South Africa, Malaysia, Turkey, Malta and the Netherlands. For that reason, I see individuals for who they are in this very moment, and not for where they come from or where they’re going.. I am a firm believer that regardless of cultural differences, the hardships we go through are also what helps us connect with each other.
Understanding and connecting
Like I said before, I believe that once we become aware we cannot become unaware. This is one of the reasons why I chose to be a psychologist. I believe that understanding clients and connecting with them on a deep level is crucial to tailor treatment to their needs. My aim is to understand the depths of your personality in order to help you create the life you desire.
The practice is in a big building. The entrance is right next to the entrance of Shabu Shabu. You can take the elevator to the third floor, you don’t need to go by the reception first. When you get out of the elevator, go to the waiting room on the right. I will come to the waiting room.

Tarief en duur
De kosten zijn afhankelijk van de duur van de afspraak. Voor een korte sessie betaal je €98,- en een lange sessie kost €145,50. Je betaalt per afspraak.
Een afspraak afzeggen kan altijd, wel minstens 24 uur van tevoren, dan kunnen we nog een andere cliënt inplannen. Anders moeten we het in rekening brengen.
